Belleview, FL asked in Uncategorized for Florida

Q: Property damage not my fault

I was traveling north on interstate 95 in Maryland ( I live in Florida ) when I had a minor accident, I hit the guardrail at the exit but did no damage. I received a bill for property damage but it was a different guardrail, not the one I hit, they sent pictures and it is at the south bound exit. I explained on the phone but have not heard anything in over a week, I fear they will send to collections and my credit ( over 800 ) will be ruined.

Any advice will be welcomed

A: If the matter resulted in a traffic violation in connection with the property damage, one option you have is to contact a Maryland traffic ticket attorney to discuss whether they would be able to appear on your behalf. If it did not involve a traffic violation, but was only related to a property damage claim from a government agency, you could try to continue discussing the matter, and if unable to resolve or resume communication, you could discuss in further detail with an attorney. Good luck
