Q: I own my house 100%. My wife buys a dog. I want to evict the dog. What do I do?

A: Did you purchase the house before or after marriage? If after, you do not "own the house 100%." It is a marital asset. If you purchased it prior to marriage, then she will likely still be entitled to any appreciation of the value of the house since the marriage. Either way, you do not own it 100%. What I will say is if a decision as big as getting a dog was not even discussed, I think you have bigger problems than trying to get rid of the dog and you may want to seek out marriage therapy OR go talk with a divorce attorney if there are further underlying issues not discussed here.

As a direct answer to your question, there is no legal process to "evict" a dog.
