Q: My dad gave me Financial power of attorney. The form we used is not accepted by his bank bec the form is from 2009.

What form do I use for nys

A: There's a ton of standard forms out there, between the commercial form companies and public agencies. Since the form you use must be acceptable to your bank, ask them to identify a form for you from one of the commercial vendors, or provide you with a standard boilerplate form they accept. Otherwise, you could waste time going back and forth. If they can't do that, ask them what is missing in your form that needs to be included (notarization, expiration, scope of authority, etc.) to be acceptable for their purposes. Good luck
