A: That is a policy decision made by the Judge to whom the probation officer answers. There is no such requirement written in the law.

Kiele Linroth Pace agrees with this answer

A: No, the judge COULD decide to revoke probation for a single violation. Using drugs or alcohol is a violation of the terms of probation. There is no set number of free passes specified in the law. So a judge COULD decide to let 10 violations slide, but don't count on it. The only safe choice is to obey the terms.

Chad Zubi agrees with this answer

A: No. A single violation of any term of probation is sufficient to file a motion to revoke.
