Q: my friend got in trouble at home for sneaking out to see a guy and her father is going through her phone taking screens

snapchat between me and her and is claiming by calling us that he will have to talk to our parents about “boys” because he suspects it was our idea and he’s taking screenshots of personal stuff on messages too

A: Be careful about how you share sensitive information in the future. Now you know this particular friend does not have a secure phone so you'll take that into consideration next time you have something to share. It has been a while since I examined SnapChat but, the last I knew, it automatically deleted messages after a short period of time. If SnapChat still behaves in that way then only the most recent messages will be available to your friend's father.
