A: The short answer is never. The long answer is that children are usually not considered mature enough to be able to make adult decisions. One of the factors for determining the timesharing is: The reasonable preference of the child, if the court deems the child to be of sufficient intelligence, understanding, and experience to express a preference. But in my experience, it is rare that the child's opinion carries strong weight without the remaining factors being in favor of what the child wants.

Good luck.
