Q: Can I own a fire arm 20 years after a felony conviction?

A: I am going to assume by "own" you want to actually possess a firearm - whether in your home, your car, or on your person. With that, the answer is "No." You should contact an attorney in Kansas to see about obtaining a pardon in Kansas or if there are any other ways (potentially under Kansas law) of restoring your rights to possess a firearm. The other limitation will be whether the Assault and Battery charge is considered violent or non-violent under Kansas Law. If it is considered a violent crime, a pardon may not be of much assistance under Oklahoma law. Without much more to go on that what is in your question, it is unclear as to whether or not you may be able to possess a firearm in the future. You should see Section 1289 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes and pay particular attention to subsections A and B. (https://www.oscn.net/applications/oscn/DeliverDocument.asp?CiteID=69752) and keep in mind too that it is not just Oklahoma law you must be concerned with. Federal law also prohibits convicted felons from possessing firearms, ammunition, etc.
