Q: Forgot license at home and got pulled over, I can’t find my license anywhere.. the officer told me I have a court date

And to show proof of license but on my ticket it just says to pay my ticket And doesn’t state that I need to be in court and doesn’t have a date either, there is only a date to pay .. what does this mean?

A: Hard to answer without knowing exactly what ticket the officer issued you. My assumption is that you were issued a failure to exhibit licences summons. This ticket is payable and does not require a court appearance. Although if you hire an attorney, they'll maybe be able to reduce the fines on this ticket and/or get the ticket completely dismissed given the merits of your case.

If you still cannot find your physical licence, I would recommend going to motor vehicles asap to obtain a new license with a new licence number since your old licence may be in someones possession. Feel free to contact my office with any questions or concerns!
