Q: I am in the process of getting my Second Amendment Rights restored.< VA > I have 2 dismissed Domestics. Possible prob?

One was back in 2007 or 08. The other was 2018. Both Dismissed

A: You will need to get both Charges also EXPUNGED from your record. Dismissals do not also include erasing the charges from your criminal record. You will probably need a competent attorney, and I recommend calling the NRA for a referral.

A: This perhaps may be problematic for you if one of them was dismissed according to a deferred finding statute. I would talk to a local attorney or a firm like ours that specializes in gun rights restoration. There is a difference between what a domestic violence charge could mean for state restoration of rights versus federal restoration.
