Q: Can a group home resident take pictures, inside the home, of another resident without permission and post on line?

A: This is really something that an attorney who deals with image rights, image usage, releases, invasion of privacy would know about - the copyright attorneys here probably know the most about this. But your question remains open for a month. Until you are able to speak with an attorney who is knowledgeable in this area who could offer meaningful input, it's likely that the use of someone's image without their consent could give rise to a number of legal issues. As a practical matter for the time being that might not involve the cost of a legal consult over an online post, you could bring the matter to the attention of the home so that they might implement measures to prevent the practice.
