Lewisville, TX asked in Child Support and Family Law for Texas

Q: I pay child support, and my kids refuse to see me. What rights do I have to enforce visitation?

I'm being told by their mother that they don't have to talk to me or see me if they do want to. They are 17,15,14 years old.

A: You could file an enforcement if there is a pre-existing custody order to enforce.

A: If you have an existing court order, hire an attorney to file for enforcement of the court order.

I would also suggest asking your attorney to file something so that the children can be interviewed by the court to find out if it is true that they don't want to come to visitation. If it is found to be true you may want to do family counseling with them to find out why they don't want to come to visitation.
