Q: Parent moved child out of state but hasn't established residency. Joint custody is order does parent have to move back

A: In most cases, the relocating party must provide notice well in advance in order to offer the other party time to object. If they just move and take the child with them, then you can file an Application for Contempt for staters. Unless there is a very good reason for the move and it won't dramatically impact the number of days overnights you in the court order, then the parent will have to move back.
