Q: Does child automatically stop at the age of 19?
I have two kids, one will turn 19 in August of 2021. My ex- husband pays one amount for both, how is child support determined once the oldest child turned 19? Am I responsible, if the my ex-husband doesn’t request the payments to stop for the oldest child turns 19?
A: He will have to file a modification to change the child support for one child and stop it for the other. It should be an easy process that you both can sign and agree upon.
