A: A Texas attorney could answer best, but your question remains open for two weeks. The short answer to your question is "yes." I know lawyers in the public sector who are exceptionally skillful advocates, bright, hardworking, and dedicated to their clients' interests. They would easily command $350-plus an hour in any prestige firm, but their calling is helping the public. But the long answer is that there is no universal answer. Public sector lawyers also carry crushing caseloads, are overworked, and don't have the luxury of picking and choosing cases in which triumph is fairly certain - they take what they are assigned. As with all professions, individuals can vary from one to another. Good luck
