his father, my husband passed 3 years ago and he didn't like the fact of me dating other men, not to mention he has no rules to follow there unlike here at home with his mother. So he doesn't want to come home. Can they legally terminate my rights and take custody of my child

A: No. Make him come home, live with you and follow the rules. They have no basis to terminate your parental rights nor should you ever give them custody.
