Houston, TX asked in Immigration Law for Texas

Q: My parents has extended B2 visa for 10 months how can I make them stay in States longer ?

Hi,

My parents have entered into U.S end of 2019. We had to get 6 months extension during covid and we extended another 4 months. Because of my parent's health problems. They both had serious surgeries in the past and their doctor advised us if they get infected with covid they may end up with serious health problems.

Their 10 years visa ending on April 25th. We booked their tickets for the 20th.

Now our home country getting worse than before on covid cases. Our family members friends neighbors are all tested positive and travelers are at high risk so we are scared for them to travel.

I applied for my n400 7 months ago and it's still pending. I know that I can't sponsor my parents but

I would like to know that how I can change my parent's status to make them stay safe here with me? Can I try h1b? Or any other status we can apply for? Or if I open business for them or make them a business partner in my own company would it work?

Thank you

A: A lot more information is needed to evaluate your parents' options. You should do a consultation with an experienced immigration attorney. Many offer free phone consults but it would be well worth paying for advice from an experienced attorney. Best wishes!
