My two 8 month twin girls, her 7 yr old girl, her 17 year old son and her. she said she's moving out and i want to know what it takes to get custody of my children ? I don't want it to get ugly but she's not a very rational person.

A: Contact a family law attorney and pursue a paternity action along with custody of the children. This is not something you should attempt without an attorney because it could create additional issue later if you did it solo.

A: Best place to start is hire an attorney to file a paternity action to establish your rights. That will help you get a visitation order, child support order, and get the information you need for insurance purposes.

Concerning the custody of infants: As a practical matter, you would need some seriously compelling evidence to convince a judge to take infants away from their mother. No way to know what evidence you have until your case is evaluated. Your attorney will be able to evaluate your evidence, explain your options, and give you an opinion on what is a realistic expectation in your case. Best of luck to you.
