A: You're most welcome. Congratulations on your case reaching the Special Trial Part. It's not for me to say the award was excessive. I cannot advise here, as you are represented by an attorney. I can only say that as a GENERAL matter in an informative context, remittiturs can arise when a court lowers an award, a possible reason being the defense arguing that an award exceeds damages that can be demonstrated by the evidence presented to jurors. Again, ONLY AS A GENERAL MATTER, it is possible that plaintiff and defense attorneys will maintain dialogue throughout all stages of litigation.

Beyond this type of GENERAL nature discussion, I CANNOT advise on the specifics of your case. I do not mean to be nonresponsive to your inquiry, but you are represented by counsel. I must respect that. Your case has reached a very advanced milestone, for which I am very happy for you. But for inquiries of this nature, ONLY your attorney should advise. Best of luck for a successful outcome to your case.

A: I agree--no one can, without a ton of objective details, give you an assessment. If the lawyer was successful, then honor their work by consulting them, not a website. They did good for you--you do good by them.
