A: I'm sorry about your accident. I hope everyone is okay. If I understand correctly, you are New York City residents, but the accident occurred in Puerto Rico before your flight to New York. If that's the case, you should reach out to attorneys in Puerto Rico. If I did not understand correctly, and the accident took place here at LaGuardia Airport or Kennedy Airport, then you definitely can consult with a New York attorney. But my rough impression is that the first scenario might be closer to what happened. If that's the case, immediately reach out to a Puerto Rico attorney and find out what you need to do to preserve your legal rights. I wish you all good luck for a healthy recovery.

A: Hi. So sorry about your incident. You can definitely attempt to file a suit in order to get a recovery. However, New York has a threshold with regard to the level of injury one would require in order to file a cause of action.

I would suggest that you consult a NY attorney to see if you have a viable case.

All the best,

Jon

A: In your description, some additional details would help make things clearer. But you are in New York, and you can reach out to New York attorneys to help you sort things out. Good luck
