Q: Hello, I'll like to know how long does a disposition last?

I had went through one and they had me there like four hours. This was a car accident that wasn't my fault.

A: A deposition could last anywhere from less than an hour (not too common) to several hours. Four hours is not uncommon. I've had depositions that ran two hours and I've had depositions that have run over four hours as well. It all depends on the complexity of the case, contentiousness as to key issues/damages, availability of records, instructions given to the attorney conducting the deposition, personalities, and other factors.
