Q: I am moving from NY to SC. I will be unemployed. Will I be eligible to apply for unemployment benefits.

Essentially forced to quit, no other choice, and not your fault. You will want to check with lawyers who handle unemployment appeals in New York as well as South Carolina to see whether gross misconduct or willful limitation of employment will control depending on where you apply for benefits. Of course, if you had a job lined up in South Carolina and it fell through that might be good cause to recover benefits.
