Q: outside city limits. neighbors dogs get in my trash and approach me and bark at me in my yard. what are my rights?

They have 3 mostly pit dogs, one great dane, and two smaller dogs. all unleashed and unfenced. They also go into my garage and take things.

A: As a land owner you have the right to defend yourself on your property, however, the first thing to do is call the Sheriffs office in your county and have them come out. They may be able to speak with the dogs owner and resolve the situation without any harm to you, the dogs, or the neighbor relationship.
