A: Your probation officer likely filed an affidavit of violation of probation sometime in the month before you were set to terminate probation. Look up your case on the county clerk's website, look at the docket, and check if a VOP affidavit was filed. If they failed to file the affidavit, you may be in luck and your probation might have terminated. If they did file the affidavit, you will just likely need to work out an extension of your probation with the State Attorney to allow you to finish your remaining conditions. As long as you didn't pick up a new offense, you should be fine, but you should definitely look up your case to check if there is a new VOP affidavit and/or probation warrant.
