Reynoldsburg, OH asked in Contracts for Ohio

Q: Is it possible to get back a non refundable deposit back from a vendor is there is no communication

I have contacted the vendor many times by emailing and by phone no response. I have to go the company website and complete a inquiry to get in contact with someone and finally got a response sept 25 stating that she would provide me with the update proposal from back in July in a one week or so. Yet to hear anything. I have even contacted our venue who listed them as a preferred vendor. At this point I don’t want to work with them anymore because how do I know you show up the date of wedding if I can’t even get responses now

A: Do you have a signed contract with them? If so, what does it say about dates to complete the planning? Does it have any deadlines that caterer has missed? Does it have a termination provision? Make contact with them whatever way you can, and try to work it out. Or sue them for breach of contract and return of your deposit.
