Q: I was in an accident on Dec 14 2021 and The the cop set my court date for jan.31 2021 is this a good ticket

A: Yes, it is a good ticket. The worse case scenario for the prosecution would be that the Court would allow the hearing on the traffic ticket to be rescheduled due to the "incorrect" date on the ticket. If you fail to show up for Court, then a warrant will be issue for you----a Judge may end up taking no action on the warrant based on the "incorrect" date, but you would still face the underlying charges. If you had insurance, inform your insurance company of the ticket and get a letter o f restitution from your insurance company and bring it on your court date. Or hire an attorney to do this leg work for you.
