Orlando, FL asked in Criminal Law for Florida

Q: An individual that hired me to paint his house has filed a false report against me with local, state, fed. What can I d

The guy is claiming that I broke into his house with his girlfriend who was not aloud in his house and stole things and installed a bomb in his attic. He also claimed that I am sidelong with his girlfriend and her and I work together to under mine him whatever that means. Its all lies and the guy is a whack job but it's obviously gained some kind of worth with the local pd because they do nothing for me. The same individual sent me a text message threatening my life and I called the police and filed out a report but nothing was ever done to him. They treated me like garbage. The guy is retired from the military so they give him the benefit I assume. Also the same girlfriend that he claims I'm don't these things with had since been seen together with him at his home. So he's obviously not concerned about these false claims against myself. What can I do? The police act like I am guilty of it all and never do their job when they should. Can I do anything about them or individual

A: I agree with my colleague. This is a far-fetched allegation and likely coming from a person with mental illness. Consult with a lawyer asap. Don't have any other contact with him or law enforcement.
