A: Hire a criminal defense lawyer to file a motion to recall the warrant and/or reach out to the prosecutor’s office to review and potentially dismiss the charges if you can demonstrate the charges are false.

A: Mr. Oakley is correct. You need to hire counsel as soon as possible. An attorney can file a motion to recall the warrant. If the motion is granted, the warrant will be quashed and the case set for trial. There may be proof issues for the State since the case is so old. Witnesses may be unavailable.

Meanwhile, you can be picked up on the warrant at any time. If you are stopped a speeding ticket, you will be arrested on the warrant.

The courts are open and have been for many months.
