A: I'm assuming from your question that your vehicle was parked when it was struck by another motor vehicle and was totaled. Unfortunately, under such circumstances, the other vehicle's insurance company is only responsible for the fair market value of your vehicle at the time of the incident, not what you might have paid for it years earlier.
