A: An Ohio attorney could answer best, but your question remains open for two weeks. A claimant could pursue anyone they choose in the aftermath of an accident. But that in and of itself does not mean that everyone they point to is liable. It could be that the opposing attorney is very cautious and wants to include everyone, it could be that they didn't read the report carefully enough, it could be that their client did not give them an accurate account of the facts, or it could be that they have a liability theory that in their mind that somehow includes you in some way. These are only general guesses. When you turn your papers over to your insurance carrier and they assign an attorney to defend you, they would be able to advise in the most definitive manner. Good luck
