Q: I'm 17 and am gonna immigrate to US in the next couple weeks. I'm worried about being in trouble by f.bi.i for my search
Hi! I'm 17 and am gonna iimmigrate to US in a couple weeks and the university has accepted my application. I'm worried about immigration crimination check (do we have such thing?) since I screwed up a few month ago and accidently searched something that that site warned me and I'm worried about fb.i and what if they reject me for that by idk maybe my picture? do they have any picture of me recorded that might cause trouble after they identify me? or idk if they check ip idk. I'm freaking about pls help me
A: Hey there, depends on what you searched. If there is a suspected threat to National security, there could be more investigations. You have a better chance If you actually haven’t been convicted of any crimes. Also a student Visa is a non immigrant visa, so better to describe it as Entering the USA for School instead of Immigrating to the USA if asked your purpose at the border. Good luck!
