Lake City, FL asked in Uncategorized for Florida

Q: Can a hotel owner have paying guest/employee's vehicle towed from his property for not moving from a parking space?

I work and live at a hotel. My vehicle has been broke down for about 2 weeks. It's sitting in the same parking spot we normally would park in. The owner has asked me to move the vehicle to the back of the hotel so it would not be seen by other guests. I haven't moved it because I don't have any help. Can he have the vehicle towed for the simple reason that he does not want it there?

A: Yes, of course. It's his space and he can have any vehicle towed, assuming he has given you reasonable notice.
