San Diego, CA asked in Personal Injury, Health Care Law and Medical Malpractice for California

Q: What can I do in regards to a former RN posing as a Nurse Practitioner thereby prescribing medication making refferal's.

As mentioned above this person was making diagnosis prescribing medication making referrals and for all intent and purposes I was made to believe he was an Actual licensed MD but after year's of research discovered as of April that was not the case but infact he was a Registered Nurse and this was after he posed as a Nurse Practitioner and all this information I discovered as recent as April 2022 and prior to this he has caused great irreversible mental damage to me which has caused year's of therepy to be thrown away Givin the fact that he Disclosed my sensitive medical information to a third-party causing harm in alot of way's. 1 being loss of trust I am currently without a therapist and I am suffering dearly until I do find one. So my question is can you tell me how to go about this.

A: first, call the police.

Why not let them do the work rather than it being on your dime?

you can call local injury lawyers, but I suspect they would be reluctant to take the case as there is no guarantee of someone that could pay... if there is a judgment.

if the damages are $10k or less, consider small claims court.
