A: If your name is on the ticket, then it is your responsibility. If you fail to take care of it, your license will be suspended.

Now, if it is a moving violation, do not pay it. Request a trial within 30 days and go to court. You do not want to receive points on your license.

A: Is it a camera ticket? That’s going to the registered owner of the vehicle and will be an issue between you and your employer. If it’s issued to you after a stop, you are the one being charged with the violation, unless it’s equipment related. If it’s not based on a moving violation, then you should get your employer to pay this. If it’s a moving violation, it’s all on you and will go on your license. For instance, speeding tickets go on the driver’s record, not the vehicle owner’s.
