A: You need to check the court records for the particular case in question. They may or may not be in Smith County.

The address is not helpful. You will need to search by the name of a party involved in the case. It is common for a parent to bring suit “as Next Friend” on behalf of a minor child.

Sometimes, smaller settlement payments are deposited into the registry of the court. If you can identify the case, you or an attorney can file a motion to release the settlement funds held in the registry of the court.
