No, they do not need to be present together. In fact, I recommend that they are not together to reduce future claims of undue duress.
Legally, DocuSign is allowed but it has the same drawbacks as for any other contract (ie how do you prove who actually signed the instrument.
I prefer actual wet signatures with separate notaries public verifying the identity of each party signing a prenup.
After that, you can scan the document and use an electronic copy of it for most purposes
