Dallas, TX asked in Criminal Law for Texas

Q: I was charged with theft over 2500 less than 30000 and forgery. The GJ no billed the forgery charge, but not the theft

If the prosecution's argument is that I committed theft by forgery, does the no billed forgery make their case weak?

A: Do not assume that the No Bill has any effect on the theft case. If you go to trial, it may be admissible, but why tell a jury about additional charges?

I hope this helps.

Penny Wymyczak-White agrees with this answer

A: No, the no bill does not weaken the theft case.
