A: This is a French /Austrian immigration law question so US immigration lawyers can’t answer unless they are specialized in those areas also. Your best bet would be to contact a French and/or Austrian immigration lawyer

A: As an EU permanent residence holder, you are generally allowed to marry your asylum seeking fiancé in France or any other EU member state. However, the specific requirements and procedures for getting married may vary depending on the country and local laws.

In France, for example, both parties must provide proof of identity and residency, as well as a certificate of non-marital status. You may also need to complete a premarital course and obtain a medical certificate. You should contact the local authorities in the place where you plan to get married to find out the specific requirements and procedures.

As for your fiancé's ability to come to Austria and get married there, it will depend on his immigration status and whether he has the necessary documentation to travel and enter Austria. As an asylum seeker, he may face some challenges in obtaining a visa or permission to enter Austria, particularly if he does not have a valid travel document or passport. It is important to consult with an immigration attorney or the relevant government agencies in Austria to understand the requirements and procedures for bringing your fiancé to Austria and getting married there.
