A: It depends on the particular facts and circumstances. A sign is an advertisement, not a contract. It may mean that they offer a lifetime warranty on some or all repairs they make either for purchase or with the service performed. There may be terms and conditions attached to such a warranty. It may not apply to all repairs but only to certain repairs. Standing alone, it may be false advertising if they do not offer a lifetime warranty on at least some repairs under any circumstances. If a lifetime warrant is material to a particular consumer, you would expect a reasonable consumer to inquire as to what it means and whether it applies to whatever repairs the consumer may be seeking to obtain before hiring the advertiser to make any repairs to their goods.
