Louisville, KY asked in Family Law and Child Custody for Kentucky

Q: I am 31 weeks pregnant, I am trying to get along with my child's father and he doesn't seem to want to conversate.

My child's father hasn't wanted to conversate with me since I broke up with him in March. He questions whether or not he is the father and wants a paternity test, which is not an issue. I am concerned with how things can go after our son is born, he seems to be very spiteful towards me since we split and I'm concerned about that he might try to take our son from me. I don't do drugs or anything, but I do live with my mother and there is 8 people who currently live here due to her having custody of my sisters 3 children. Due to that, my baby will be sharing my room with me for about a year. Can he take full custody of him?

A: You need to get out and get your own place. He can’t take him before he’s born and paternity established, but I’d be looking for a custody lawyer to get prepared.
