A: He may be sentenced to any term of years or months that he was subject to at the time he commited the underlying offense. That is not to say he will be sentenced to the maximum or be sentenced to jail. His probation may be reinstated. The basis for his revocation is very significant with regard to what a judge may do in his case. Was he revoked for non payment of fines or fees? Was he revoked for committing a new offense? If he committed a new offense or crime, the diposition of that case may affect his revocation case. He needs an experienced criminal defense attorney. If he cannot afford an attorney, the court will appoint an attorney for him.
