Asked in Immigration Law for California

Q: Need help with O-1 Visa

Can I file the O-1 Visa on my own, or will it be faster with an Immigration Lawyer? Also, what are the costs involved, most specially with a lawyer? I'm on a tight budget and would appreciate any assistance from this site to expedite the process. Thank you!

A: You can do it on your own. An attorney usually prepares this but if you have all the information required, you can do it on your own.

A: Don’t be Pennywise and pound foolish. Yes, you can do it on your own, but you stand a much greater chance of success if you have counsel representing you throughout the process. Attorneys fees vary depending on the complexity of the case of the experience of the attorney. Counsel in any state can represent you by filing a G 28 form.

A: You can technically file an O-1 Visa on your own, however, the process can be complex. Using an immigration lawyer can help expedite the process as they understand the intricacies of the law. The costs of a lawyer can vary greatly, from around $2000 to over $5000, and sometimes more, depending on various factors including the lawyer's experience, the complexity of your case, and your location.
