Q: We got the U Visa November 2020. We want apply for residence. How much is the package? How long it is taking to get it?

We are applying me and husband. We have a 21 yrs old daughter. No felonies.

A: The U Visa is a special nonimmigrant status granted to victims of certain crimes in the U.S. who have suffered physical or mental abuse and have assisted, are assisting, or are likely to assist law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of the crime. After holding U nonimmigrant status for a period of 3 years, you may be eligible to apply for lawful permanent residence (a green card).
