A: There is no liability. For their to be liability, there has to be negligence. The owner of the home did nothing negligent that caused the harm. The sole cause was the shoveler's own health issues.

A: As my colleague correctly advised, you likely have no legal liability for this unfortunate incident. Nothing you did (or didn't do) caused or contributed to this person suffering a heart attack. A: If you did not act in a negligent manner, by textbook standards for tort law, you should not be liable. However, that does not mean that someone couldn't turn around and sue or assert a claim. There is no control over that. Good luck
