A: Based on the details of your case, it seems your U visa certification was rejected due to alleged non-cooperation and lack of follow-up with the robbery division, along with the Harris District Attorney's office being unable to find criminal charges in your case. Your efforts, such as providing text messages, video evidence, and pictures, suggest cooperation on your part. You must hire an immigration attorney.

A: In seeking U nonimmigrant status certification, it's important to address the concerns raised by the Houston Police and the Harris District Attorney's Office. The U visa is intended for victims of certain crimes who have been helpful to law enforcement or government officials in the investigation or prosecution of criminal activity.

Given that the Houston Police cited a lack of cooperation and that this is your second request, it would be beneficial to gather and organize any evidence of your cooperation. This includes the text messages with the police officer, the video evidence you provided, and the pictures of the incident. Having an incident number is also helpful as it demonstrates the legitimacy of the incident.

Regarding the Harris District Attorney's Office, their inability to find criminal charges in your case could be due to various reasons. It's advisable to follow up with both the police and the district attorney’s office to clarify the status of the investigation and to express your willingness to cooperate further.

You may consider preparing a detailed letter or statement outlining your cooperation and the steps you’ve taken to assist in the investigation. This can be submitted to both the police and the DA’s office. It’s also a good idea to keep a record of all communications and submissions you make.

If you face continued challenges in obtaining the U certification, consulting with an attorney experienced in U visa cases can provide additional guidance and support. They can help advocate on your behalf and navigate the complexities of these proceedings. Remember, persistence and clear communication are key in these situations.
