A: To provide you with more specific advice regarding your U visa certification issues, I would need additional details about your case. Information such as the reasons for the previous rejections by HPD and the Harris District Attorney's office, the nature of the crime you were a victim of, and how you have cooperated with law enforcement would be crucial. This information will help in understanding the complexities of your case and offering more tailored guidance.

A: Happy New Year. Given the challenges you've faced with U certification rejections, it's understandable that you're seeking an attorney with experience in complex immigration cases. There are steps you can take to find the right legal representation for your situation.

Start by contacting local legal aid organizations or immigrant support groups in your area. These organizations often have connections to attorneys who are experienced in immigration law and may be familiar with cases like yours. Additionally, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) offers a lawyer search tool on their website, which can be used to find attorneys with experience in U visa cases.

When you meet with potential attorneys, be sure to discuss your case in detail, including the reasons for the previous rejections. This will help them understand the specifics of your situation and provide more targeted advice.

Don't hesitate to ask about their experience with similar cases and their success rates. Cost is also an important factor, so inquire about their fees and any payment plans they might offer. Remember, finding the right attorney may take time, but it's crucial for the success of your case.
