Q: I need help getting reimbursement from our health care assistance and I am being sent in circles. Can you help?

Back in Sept. we signed up for United Health Shared Ministry as our basic health coverage. My husband & I go to our yearly doctor visit but thats pretty much it, so we wanted a plan that fit our needs & didn't break the bank. We thought we found it, but boy were we wrong. All information they sent us regarding our plan was a lie and after months of trying to get my hubs seen because he's been having a hard time sleeping, they tell us our plan doesn't cover or help with a doctors visit, and that it only is for catastrophic events (something new we learned just last week). No where in any literature of our plan (we have copies of communications too by the way) does it state that and in no conversation ever did they inform us of that. In fact it is the opposite. We have called multiple times since November and every time we tell them we're having trouble scheduling, they say "oh thats strange.. here's a # to call." Stuck in a loop. Now wanting to cancel but to no avail. Please help!

A: An Arizona attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. One option, and the most inexpensive one to start with, might be to look into whether your state's department of insurance could offer guidance. Good luck
