It might be difficult for anyone here to advise meaningfully without seeing the terms of her insurance and billing history. Although part of your post got left off, it is worth the time for you or her to find out the reason for the postponement in terms of the deductible issue. If she met her deductible from the preceding cycle, why couldn't they have performed it within that period? See if the insurance carrier could assist in examining this point. Good luck
