Q: I just found out a payment I made for my car insurance has "disappeared of my account?.
I eft a call from one of the office manager at State Farm. She says my last payment didn't go through. Why? Accounting Dep[artment stating account can't be located. I have the receipt and confirmation number. And NO WAY would this automation take a bogus checking number because if you type on zero too many for routing number you have to start again. Secondly, me nor the bank have been notified of such occurrence. to avoid a lapse in coverage ( they conveniently waited 5 days ( paid it January 27th) got call 2/6/24. I paid premium a second time that same day The payment usually takes 2-3 days to post. My second payment(2/6/24 the SAME day! someone told me the federal govement as their own Wells Fargo. Unfortunately that is my bank. I think it's odd. Meeting with bank, any reviewed my account I see other oddities, like missing payments that I know I paid, or smaller expenditures than I really got, entries like IRS refund now show cash deposits! what type of lawyer do I need.
A: A Pennsylvania attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for four weeks. You ask what type of lawyer you need. Probably one that handles insurance matters. But you might save money by handling this yourself. It has elements that might be more customer service-related than legal related. If you can't clear this up through customer service and your payment records, then you could consider reaching out to attorneys. Good luck
