Santa Cruz, CA asked in Personal Injury and Car Accidents

Q: I was referred this number to help find someone to issistinsurance claim for a no fault car accident i was injured in

Accident was a rear-ended when I was stopped at a red light. It was 4/26/22 and I have not recovered. I have multiple injuries and have been in medical care ever since the accident, and I still have a long way to go. Stanford neuro, UCSF oral surgery, endless osteopathic, chiropractic, acupuncture, PT appts, etc. Constant debilitating pain, loss of ability to do my job, to see, to drive, to eat, walk, my physical beauty is gone, and almost two years of suffering. My car had little damage and it has been so long and am having trouble finding help

A: A California attorney could advise best, but you posted several days ago, and you could lose valuable time awaiting an offer of legal services. This isn't a law firm or a legal referral service - it's a Q & A forum. It sounds like you've already been reaching out to attorneys. You could continue to do so, and you could supplement your efforts with the "Find a Lawyer" tab above or the attorney referral sections of local and state bar associations. Those resources are outside this forum, so any arrangements are between you and attorneys you reach out to. As a general note, most law firms that handle MVA cases offer free initial consults. As a general note, SOME bar associations might have small fees for referral consult - but that would depend on the organization. Without knowing more, if your car sustained little damage (which you mention) and your claim wound up in the low-impact claim division, depending on the carrier - it's possible that could be a factor in the reluctance of law firms to handle the claim. But that's only a general speculation. I'm sorry for your ordeal and hope you are successful in finding a firm to help you with your injuries and suffering. Good luck
