Panama City, FL asked in Divorce for Florida

Q: Is my lawyer required to provide me with the hearing notices? Is 3/4 to set the trial date or the actual trial?

Divorce case filed July, 2021. Outcome of mediation failure recorded 6/2022. 2022/2023 motions & hearings were withdrawn/cancelled. 2/6/2024 respondent told me there was a court date. Online records show 12/15/2023 "EP - AMENDED ORDER SETTING TRIAL WITH ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS JUDGE 3/4/24 FAMILY HEARINGS SET FOR 03/04/2024 &EP - ORDER SETTING TRIAL Last response attorney was 9/20/23. Emails since 2/6 unanswered. Today he texted “it’s the final hearing” It doesn’t match the court entry.

A: It sounds like you are set for trial on March 4, 2024. You should be speaking directly to your attorney about this. Otherwise schedule a consultation with another local family law attorney.
